The Elk Grove Giant Pumpkin Festival Giant Pumpkin & Produce Weigh Off Celebrates our 29th Year. Pumpkin growers from all over California and beyond will be vying for the top prize – and perhaps a world record – as each of their enormous orange gourds hit the scales on Saturday morning. Giant produce, from zucchini to sunflowers, will also be weighed and measured for cash prizes. With pumpkins weighing in at OVER 1 TON, it is a contest of mythic proportions. Enter your own produce or pumpkins in the weigh-off for a chance to win cash prizes.
All entries must remain until 5:30 pm on Saturday.
The 1st, 2nd, 3rd place pumpkin entries are required to remain on site until 5:30 pm on SUNDAY.
Each grower who places and receives prize money must provide the district 15 seeds to utilize in a growers themed event by January 1, 2024.
Pre registration is highly encouraged, all participants who pre-register will receive free parking.
Day of registration is $25, and there will be a $10 per car entry fee.
All specimens must be accompanied by their owners and must arrive at Elk Grove Park between 7:00 am and 9:00 am on Saturday.
All entries checked in after 9:00 am will be placed in the Non-Competitive category and will be ineligible to receive a prize.
Large specimens should be brought on pallets. Weigh Off volunteers will be on hand to assist entrants in positioning entries.
